-Eat a good breakfast.
-We have to score in the top 10 out of all the classes to make the finals. There are 19 bands altogether. I know there are some really good bands in the bigger classes. There are 9 in our class: Franklin Community, Silver Creek, New Albany, Bullitt Central, South Oldham, Seneca, Owensboro, Hamilton Southeastern, and Elizabethtown.
-Bring money to buy concessions. We'll try and have fruit and water as well.
-I'm still hearing lots of positive comments on the new uniforms, by the way. They do look really nice.
-Working to see if David Parsons can be here next week. Probably on Friday and Sat. afternoon. Plan on practicing most of the day next Sat. when we go to Salem.
-Admission for this contest is $10.00 for adults. The address 6000 Brownsboro Rd. Louisville, 40222. Here is a map of where Ballard is located.
-Remember to wear your band shirt Saturday
-Really good job last weekend. Very proud of everyone. Fortunately, we have a lot of things we can clean up and hopefully our scores will go up as a result. Let's keep working to see how good we can get!!!!!
-There should be no jewelry worn with your uniform.
-DO NOT PLAY ANY INSTRUMENT IN THE BUS AREA. You can only play in the warm-up area when I tell you. Some contests we go to deduct points if you make any noise in the bus area.
-During the awards ceremony, stay together as a group until all the awards are over - no matter how well we do.
-You must obey the chaperones at all times. Remember - they are volunteers and are doing what is asked of them. If you need a conflict resolved, see Mr. Hoover privately.
-Students are required to ride the buses to and from the contests. If you are not riding the bus home, find your bus chaperone personally after everything is packed and let him/her know. Do not tell them earlier, and do not have someone else do it. Also - you are excused to your parents, not someone else.
- Good luck!!!!!!

The parents and chaperones try to sit together when watching our kids perform during competition. Look for a bunch of grey iMotion tee shirts or our orange band shirts. Come on up, pull up a bleacher seat, and introduce yourself to our wild and wacky group!
