Item for Spring Concert
Dear Parent or Guardian,
Our Spring Concert is a month away. The Band Boosters and the Middle and High School Bands are excited to once again have the opportunity to perform for you. Each concert Mr. Hoover conducts during the years represents a benchmark in your child’s success in playing their instrument. The Spring Concert symbolizes a year of hard work and perseverance by your young musician. At this point, they have learned a variety of music styles along with the lesson that practice really does make you better at things.
The Band Boosters are traditionally responsible for the programs for each of these musical events. Beginning with this concert, we are excited to announce that Spring has breathed on these programs a new look and a wonderful opportunity for you to support Silver Creek’s Middle and High School Band Program.
You now will have the opportunity to add a “Clef Note” to the concert program. A “Clef Note” is a one or two sentence line acknowledging your pride for your young musician. It is amazing to see what an encouraging comment can do when a student picks up and reads that special remark just for him or her in a program just before performing.
The cost for a “Clef Note” is two dollars ($2.00). The results – priceless. The money received from your “Clef Note” helps defray the cost of producing the programs.
The Band Boosters would like for you to take advantage of this wondrous opportunity! Each band student is to be given a copy of this letter that has a form at the bottom for a "Clef note". Your completed form and payment can either be sent in with your child and given to Mr. Hoover or mailed to the address at the top of this letter. We even offer the convenience of making your purchase on-line at http://clefnote.silvercreekbandboosters.org. (There is a small administrative fee charged to handle the financial transaction if using this method of payment). Please feel free to copy this letter and give to relatives and close friends too! May 4th, 2007 is the deadline to have your “Clef Note” submitted for the Spring Program.
The Band Boosters are ecstatic about the new look of the program and the chance for you to contribute a “Clef Note.” We thank you in advance and hope to see you at our Spring Concert on May 21st, 2007 in the High School Auditorium.
Thank your for a moment of your time.

Market Day Pie Push to help band students account
We are offering on final chance to earn money to help with the trip to Florida. During the month of April, all pies are on sale and are worth extra profit. The profit from the pies sold will go directly into your student's travel account.
1 - 249 pies = $1.75 per pie
250 - 499 = $2.75 per pie
500+ = $3.75 per pie
Pie order forms were given to Mr. Hoover last week. If you are only selling pies, please use the pie order form. You must collect payment for pies when orders are placed. Make checks payable to Market Day. Return the entire order form with payment to Mr. Hoover by Friday, April 20th.
Please contact Linda Durham at Durfam6@aol.com with any questions.
A note to our band students: It takes hard work and practice to perform a show worthy of first place. It is no different with the things in life we want. There is no better way to help with your trip account or band fees than to partake in the fund raisers offered. The pie push mentioned above is no different! It doesn't get much easier than this! The person you are selling to purchases a delicious pie of their choice, and you benefit by having the profit going towards your travel account fees.
So please, help yourself out! Call someone, email someone, or instant message a friend to see of their mom or dad want a pie! Your hard work will be worthy!
Remember! The only bad pie is an uneaten one! dragon10
